role of Sales Development Representative, this person will have a
positive, outgoing attitude while performing in a team
environment.GENERAL SUMMARYThis position performs outbound calls to
potential and current customers for the purpose of generating
additional revenue opportunities and developing new customer leads.
More specifically the successful candidate for the Sales
Development Representative role will target underperforming
customers, customers who have been identified as having greater
revenue potential, assist in communicating promotional initiatives,
gathering market intelligence, and qualifying leads before passing
them onto the appropriate outside salesperson.ESSENTIAL JOB
FUNCTIONS*Client Relationships and Financial SuccessMake outbound
calls to customers and prospects to promote Functional Devices
products and services, especially as it relates to special
promotionsMake sales or recommendations for products that may
better suit client needsAssist in maintaining the profitable short-
and long-term growth of existing accounts; be willing to contribute
to the acquisition of new accountsMake initial and follow-up calls
to potential and existing clients by telephone and/or e-mail to
obtain or update client dataApply a positive customer service
attitude in interactions with all customers. Be able to establish a
positive rapportDocument each call as per company and departmental
policies and proceduresUtilize software, databases, scripts, and
tools appropriatelyEngage in active listening with callers,
confirming or clarifying information and diffusing angry clients as
neededBe professional, patient, empathetic, and understanding in
all customer interactionsCommunicate effectively and professionally
in all forms of communication with internal and external
customersDemonstrate an aptitude for sales, including determining
the next steps in the sales process, and to suggest additional
products and/or servicesParticipate and successfully complete
personal and professional development training Strategy and
PlanningAptitude for developing or contributing to a communication
strategy as it relates to business and/or marketing goals and
strategies as expressed by clientsAssist in managing business to
business communication programs and individual projectsFunction as

and proceduresAll other duties as assignedPHYSICAL AND MENTAL
DEMANDS (include but are not limited to:)While performing the
duties of this job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The
employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers, reach
with arms and hands, stand, sit, and walk. The employee must have
the manual ability and dexterity to use office equipment for
prolonged periods, the cognitive, intellectual, and mental
functions necessary to manage more than one complex task at a time.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty (20)
pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include
close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to
adjust focus. Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time. WORK
ENVIRONMENT The noise level in the work environment is normal
office environment noises. This position is subject to varying and
unpredictable situations; may manage emergency; is subject to
interruptions; may manage multiple calls and inquiries
simultaneously and may occasionally fill in for or take on
additional work for absentee replacement on short notice. Position
may require travel with overnight stays. * External and internal

Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or equivalent
requiredAssociate or Bachelor's degree preferredMinimum of 2-year
experience in customer service/outbound sales requiredKNOWLEDGE,
