Job Description:
At StarPlus Energy, a joint venture between Samsung/Stellantis,
join us in establishing the first plant of its kind in Indiana. As
a member of our team, you will play an important role in our
company's positive culture by helping us build and maintain an
effective organization as the automotive industry moves toward an
electric future. The Supervisor of Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA)
is part of the Supplier Quality Management (SQM) group and is
responsible for managing SQA engineers and supplier quality in
support of the SQA Manager. The SQA Supervisor must comply with
supplier quality standards to meet all product and process
requirements and manage and report supplier performance. Their
responsibilities include quality checks, approving the production
part approval process for new suppliers, and conducting ongoing
process audits for all suppliers. The SQA Supervisor is also
responsible for detecting, containing, root cause analysis, and
resolving all supplier-related issues. The leader will manage
continuous performance improvement and optimization of all
suppliers of components and services, providing coaching and
mentoring on the utilization of world-class problem-solving
methodologies. Additional responsibilities include but are not
limited to the following. Roles and ResponsibilitiesConduct
business training for SQA EngineersEstablish Key Process Indicators
(KPI) for SQA activities and conduct on-going process monitoring
for all KPIs.Lead QPA (Quality Process Audit) and Production Part
Approval Process of new suppliers.Lead improvement of supplier's
performanceDocument internal audits and other quality assurance
activitiesInvestigate customer complaints and non-conformance
issues.Review all supplier product specifications, inspection
standards, and lesson learned activities.Prepare updates of
Supplier Quality performance and activitiesProvide management
updates regularly.Work closely with key stakeholders to provide
delivery according to schedule.Manage multiple priorities and
deliver internal and external results on time.Work closely with
internal and external stakeholders to clarify business and
technical requirements for Supplier Quality performance.Must be
able to travel -30% (includes International)Areas of Leadership and
Technical abilitiesAction / Results oriented: Problem solving,
attitude, deliver projects on time with high quality.Strong
presentation skills to clearly articulate business problems,
analytical approaches, potential solutions & recommendationsAbility

paceMinimum Job RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED
EquivalentMinimum of 5 years of industrial automation and controls
experience with strong foundation in supplier quality
management.Excellent organizational, written, and oral
communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to
interface with various level of employees within all areas of the
organization including hourly employees to Senior LeadershipAbility
to build effective cross functional relationships internally and
externally.Demonstrated technical problem-solving ability.Goal
oriented self-starter with ability to lead teams.Ability to coach /
mentor / develop SQA Engineers and IQC InspectorsMust have a good
working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeAbility to work overtime as
required. Preferred Job RequirementsBachelor of Science or Master's
degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an
ABET accredited university or equivalent. (Bachelor's degree in
Aerospace/Aeronautical, Materials, Metallurgical, or Mechatronics
may also be considered with extensive quality experience)Bilingual
English / KoreanMaster's degree in Chemical, Mechanical or
Electrical EngineeringExperience in continuous improvement systems
and lean manufacturingShainin Red X / Six Sigma
CertificationExperience with the AIAG Advanced Quality Planning and
Control Plans, FMEA, Production Part Approval Process, MSA, and SPC
(Statistical Process Control)Experience with quality certification
and system such as ISO9001/IATF16949 is required.Familiar with
World Class Manufacturing pillar methodology and
implementationExtensive knowledge in Data Analytics utilizing MS
Excel, MS Access, or other database applications.Good working
knowledge of Google Suite software programsASQ Certification in
