As a member of our Special Projects Management Team , you’ll play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence across the warehouse. This role is critical to the success of our location, with a strong focus on inventory control, special customer projects, and developing our warehouse team through hands-on leadership and training. What We’re Looking For Strong understanding of wholesale distribution warehouse operations and processes Proven ability to manage inventory control functions with accuracy and accountability Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment including forklifts Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with both office and warehouse teams Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office and basic systems navigation Solid math skills and attention to detail Ability to communicate effectively in English in a warehouse environment What You’ll Do Manage and lead all major warehouse projects planned throughout the year Oversee Special Customer Orders (SCO), including job trailers and MTR-required orders Lead onboarding training for new employees and support ongoing development of operational staff Own all inventory control functions, including cycle counts, location management, and error resolution Coordinate with the Sales Team to understand and support customer-specific needs Manage daily workflows to ensure deadlines and customer expectations are met Coordinate job trailer deliveries with dispatch and communicate details to sales Track performance metrics and set goals for productivity and accuracy Communicate regularly with leadership regarding staffing needs, opportunities, and operational changes Ensure safety standards, company policies, and quality expectations are consistently followed Why Join Porter Pipe?
