Job Description Job Description A Day in This Role When you step
onto the floor, you’re the momentum behind safe, smooth material
flow. You’ll start by checking the day’s inbound schedule, moving
to dock doors to unload parts, and verifying what arrives. You’ll
put materials into the right storage locations, later pulling
what’s needed to fulfill customer orders. Between runs, you may hop
on a forklift or crane to position heavier loads, drive Yard Dogs
to reposition trailers, clean parts using grinders and other metal
finishing tools, assemble kits, and keep your area tidy and safe.
What You’ll Do Champion a safety-first mindset throughout every
task. Receive inbound inventory, stage it, and place it into
storage. Pick materials from storage to fill customer orders
accurately and on time. Load trucks and trailers for outbound
shipments. Operate hand trucks, forklifts, cranes, and other
material handling equipment to move product within the facility and
to/from trailers. Drive Yard Dogs to reposition trailers as needed.
Clean parts using hand/pedestal grinders and related metal
finishing equipment; assist with light assembly or kit build.
Deliver error-free work for internal and external customers. Work
under direct supervision and follow established processes. Support
safety and quality programs by following all rules and procedures.
Maintain a clean, orderly work area; perform other duties as
assigned. Skills You’ll Bring Practical problem-solving and strong
attention to detail. Proficiency operating forklifts and overhead
cranes. Comfort using common hand tools: hammer, pliers,
screwdriver, wrench, drill, grinder, bander. Ability to accurately
read a tape measure. Familiarity with standard practices and
procedures; able to follow instructions and guidelines. Experience
with measuring tools—box calipers, slide dial calipers, micrometers
(preferred). High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred). Work
Environment & Physical Requirements You will work indoors and
outdoors with changing temperatures, loud noise, and equipment
vibration. Expect the following: Hazards: Proximity to moving
mechanical parts, electrical current, high heat, and chemicals.
Atmospheric conditions: Potential exposure to fumes, odors, dusts,
mists, gases, or areas with poor ventilation. Oils: Air and/or skin
exposure to oils and other cutting fluids.
