Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Must have a valid nursing license prior to start date Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Experience with voiding trials and/or urogyn surgeries Experience in general surgery, urology, gynecology, and bariatric surgery Ability to provide post-op care for bariatric surgery, thyroidectomy, bowel obstruction, and continuous bladder irrigation (CBI) Willingness to float to other medical-surgical units Description: We are seeking a dedicated registered nurse for a medical-surgical unit. The unit focuses on general surgery, urology, gynecology, and bariatric surgery. The daily patient ratio is 1:6. Ideal candidates will have experience with various surgical procedures and post-operative care. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential. Candidates must be willing to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals. The ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams and pharmacy, is important. Candidates should be prepared to manage a diverse patient population, including adults and geriatrics. Experience with patient care involving surgical drains and wound care is preferred. Applicants should be prepared to work two out of three major holidays.
