Ascension is seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Tech for our General Surgery department, bringing compassion and a deep sense of purpose to our faith-based, innovative healthcare team. As a Surgical Tech, you will play a critical role in maintaining a sterile surgical environment, assist during operations, and support our surgeons and nurses to deliver optimal patient outcomes. Prepare operating rooms for surgery including sterilizing equipment, ensuring necessary equipment is ready and operational Assist in surgeries by passing instruments and other sterile supplies to surgeons and surgical assistants Maintain a sterile environment to comply with health and safety protocols Help in the application and removal of dressings, sutures, and splints Keep meticulous records of the surgery including noting any special circumstances Participate in post-operative procedures and play a key role in patient recovery and follow-up care Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care Proficient in maintaining sterile environments Able to handle surgical instruments safely Strong understanding of surgical procedures and medical terminology Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to respond quickly and efficiently under pressure Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
