Description: This position is for a Physical Therapy Assistant in
an acute care setting. The schedule is Monday through Friday with
8-hour shifts. Candidates are expected to work at least one weekend
per month. A minimum of 1 year of experience is required.
First-time travelers are accepted. The guaranteed hours are a
minimum of 40 hours per work week. The facility provides care for
patients with various conditions, including cardiac procedures,
stroke, joint replacements, and respiratory illnesses. The Physical
Therapy Assistant will follow the plan of care, which may include
gait training, therapeutic exercises, and neuromuscular techniques.
There will be daily assessments to determine appropriateness of
discharge recommendations. Candidates should have experience
managing high-acuity patients, including those in intensive care
units or progressive care units. Documentation must be completed
daily, and team collaboration is essential to manage the caseload
effectively. Experience with charting systems is preferred.
Candidates should possess a range of skills related to physical
