Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Lafayette, Indiana,

Ability to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate
hospitals Description: Position/Specialty: Medical Surgical
Registered Nurse Years of experience required: 1.5 years First
timers accepted: Yes Certifications required: BLS; ACLS and NIHSS
preferred Locals not accepted. Floating required. Pending license
not accepted. Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Guaranteed hours
for 8/10 hr. shifts are 40 hrs. in one workweek. For 3, 12 hr.
shifts - 36 hrs. in one workweek. For 4, 12 hr. shifts - 48 hrs. in
one workweek. Skillset requirements: Med/Surg, pre/post neuro
surgery, total joint replacements, trauma. Interpretation and
management of dysrhythmias preferred. Unit information includes
orthopedic, GYN, urology, neurosurgery, and medical patients. Daily
census: 34. Patient diagnoses include orthopedic conditions, GYN,
urology, neurosurgery, and various medical diagnoses. Patient age
groups consist of adults and geriatrics. Special procedures may
include continuous bladder irrigation, surgical drains, and
managing chest tubes. Staffing ratios are typically 1:5-6.
Cross-departmental support available from physical therapy,
respiratory services, radiology, and social services. Two
supervisor references are required prior to employment. Candidates
must adhere to the requirement for a break to reset travel
eligibility if applicable. Please note that specific certification
and experience requirements may apply depending on the unit. 5
