The Wound Care Physician role focuses on delivering specialized
outpatient care for individuals with open wounds, utilizing
advanced treatment methods such as hyperbaric oxygen therapy and
negative pressure wound therapy. This position is part of a
collaborative team and operates on a full-time schedule from Monday
to Friday, with no on-call responsibilities. Candidates must be
board certified or eligible and hold a valid medical license in
Indiana. Benefits include malpractice insurance, health coverage,

organization is seeking a Wound Care Physician to join the Wound
Care Center located in Lafayette, IN. Position Details Full-time
schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM 100% outpatient focus No
on-call duties Collaborative team consisting of one physician, one
nurse practitioner, and seven support staff members *Training for
hyperbaric oxygen therapy and wound care education is available*
Key Responsibilities Provide care for patients of all ages with
open wounds requiring advanced treatments, including hyperbaric
oxygen therapy, total contact casting, negative pressure wound
therapy, and cellular and tissue-based products. Manage 10-15
patient encounters daily, primarily focused on wound care, with
less than 5% involving hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Perform various
procedures, including: Cellulitis treatment Compression therapy
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy Infection management and prevention Wound
cleaning and dressing Application of skin substitutes Wound
debridement Wound cultures and biopsies Bone cultures and biopsies
Transcutaneous oxygen measurement (TCOM) testing Minimum
Qualifications Board Eligible or Board Certified MD/DO with a valid
medical license in Indiana or eligibility for licensure
Consideration for candidates with backgrounds in General Surgery,
Podiatry, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine
