working with Cynet Health to find a qualified MICU RN in Fort
Wayne, Indiana, 46845! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN

Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1.5 years ICU experience
required; 2 years ICU experience preferred. License: Valid RN
License Certifications: BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only) Must-Have:
Strong background in medical patients and critical care.
Flexibility, critical thinking, team-oriented, and personable
skills are required. Description: Responsibilities include caring
for ventilated patients. Initiating and titrating IV drips such as
vasopressors, sedation, and paralytics. Assisting with intubations
and line placement. Monitoring critically ill patients with
diagnoses such as sepsis, respiratory failure (acute and chronic),
renal failure (acute and chronic), myocardial infarctions,
pulmonary embolism, and pneumonia. This unit manages patients with
mixed acuity, including both ICU and Progressive Care patients.
Travelers will care for both types of patients, more frequently
progressive patients than ICU patients. Equipment utilized in the
unit includes heart monitors, electronic medical records system,
medication dispensing systems, and EKG machines. Nurse to patient
ratios are 1:3 or 1:4 for progressive patients and 1:2 or 1:3 for
ICU patients. Onboarding will include reviewing policies and
gaining access to the electronic medical records system. One day of
unit onboarding is provided. Travelers will be required to float to
other units as needed while maintaining specified patient ratios.
Dress code includes Caribbean blue scrubs, with jackets permitted
in black, white, or Caribbean blue. Short sleeves or long sleeves
worn under the scrubs must be black or white. Candidates should
have experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 facility, and travel
