Bloomington, Indiana, 47408! Job Title: Registered Nurse

Previous charge experience preferred; Experience with mixed acuity
units Description: We are seeking a registered nurse for a
progressive care unit. The nurse must be comfortable working in
both progressive care and medical-surgical environments. Candidates
should be able to work across various patient populations if
needed. Patient-to-nurse ratios are typically 1:5. Experience in
interpretation and management of dysrhythmias is crucial. The nurse
will also be responsible for caring for patients post-cardiac
surgery and those undergoing transcatheter aortic valve
implantation/replacement. Key skills include arterial line
management, blood product administration, and central line care.
Ideally, candidates should have experience with intra-aortic
balloon pumps, pre/post-cardiac catheterization, and management of
ventilated patients. Unit patient diagnoses may include
cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, cardiology, endocrine,
and oncology-related cases. The environment includes private rooms
with overhead lifts and telemetry for patient monitoring. All staff
are expected to float to meet facility needs. Weekend work is
required every other weekend. The nurse must adhere to all facility
