Pay Information $2,011 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Observation Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: IN or compact license required Certifications: Required certifications must be in hand Must-Have: - Med/Surg experience - Starting IVs and Nasal Cannula skills - Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias preferred - Previous charge experience preferred Description: Charge coverage may be needed depending on operational needs. Training and resources will be provided for charge nurse responsibilities. Candidates must be open to this possibility. This unit is Medical Surgical and is located adjacent to the Emergency Department. Patients are held overnight for continued evaluation as observation patients in this unit. Common patient diagnoses include COVID, abdominal pain, respiratory distress, and other symptom-based conditions requiring further workup. Floating is 100% required of all travelers. Candidates will float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals. Travelers are required to work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Two supervisor references are required. Medical or religious exemptions only for flu vaccine are accepted. Background policy must be noted prior to submission for approval.
