Executive DirectorOrganization: Perry Township Education Foundation (PTEF)
Location: Perry Township, Indianapolis, IndianaPosition Overview:
The Executive Director serves as the chief executive officer of the Perry Township Education Foundation (PTEF) and is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational effectiveness of the organization. This role ensures PTEF fulfills its mission to provide funds for innovative teaching and support equitable education. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and collaborates closely with stakeholders, community members, and partners to achieve organizational goals.Key Responsibilities:Financial Management:

  • Conduct monthly account reconciliations, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop and manage the annual budget in collaboration with the Board of Directors.
  • Oversee financial reporting, audits, and compliance with nonprofit accounting standards.Marketing and Communications:
    • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote PTEF's mission and programs.
    • Oversee website content, social media platforms, newsletters, and other communications.
    • Create impactful campaigns to engage donors, sponsors, and the broader community.Fundraising and Grant Writing:
      • Design and execute comprehensive fundraising plans, including individual giving, events, and corporate sponsorships.
      • Identify, apply for, and manage grants to secure additional funding for programs and initiatives.
      • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors and sponsors to ensure sustained financial support.Program and Community Relations:
        • Oversee the development and implementation of programs aligned with PTEF's mission.
        • Foster partnerships with schools, community organizations, and local businesses to expand PTEF's reach and impact.
        • Serve as the primary spokesperson for the foundation, representing it at community events and meetings.Board Governance:
          • Work closely with the Board of Directors to develop strategic plans and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
          • Prepare reports and updates for board meetings, providing transparency on operations and finances.
          • Support board recruitment, training, and engagement initiatives.Event Creation, Implementation, and Success:
            • Plan, organize, and execute fundraising and community engagement events that align with PTEF's mission.
            • Ensure events are well-designed to maximize attendance, donor engagement, and revenue generation.
            • Oversee all aspects of event logistics, including budget, marketing, vendor coordination, and volunteer management.
            • Evaluate event outcomes and success metrics, providing reports and recommendations for improvement.Operations and Administration:
              • Manage day-to-day operations, including supervising volunteers and interns.
              • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and ethical standards for nonprofit organizations.
              • Maintain organized records of financials, grants, donor contributions, and program outcomes.Leadership and Vision:
                • Inspire and motivate stakeholders to achieve the foundation's mission and vision.
                • Stay informed about education trends, challenges, and opportunities to position PTEF as a thought leader in the community.Preferred Qualifications:
                  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, education, or related field.
                  • Proven experience in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, grant writing, and financial management.
                  • Strong marketing, communication, and public relations skills.
                  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
                  • Passion for education, equity, and community engagement.Work Environment:
                    This position is full-time and may require occasional evening or weekend hours to attend events and meetings.Application Process:
