electric future. Job Description: Reliability is one of the most
critical aspects of product design and development. It is why
reliability engineering plays a key role, and why there are a
wealth of tools and techniques available to assess and evaluate
product reliability throughout the lifecycle. Reliability analysis
is often used as a broad term for a range of analyses used to
evaluate and improve the quality of products, processes, and
systems. The Reliability Test Engineer reports directly to the
Reliability Laboratory Test Manager and is located in the Battery
Cycler Laboratory Building in the Customer Quality Group. This
position follows the reliability lifecycle of High Voltage Battery
(HVB) Cell & Module Systems from concept to design, development,
manufacturing, field operation, and field returns to design-in,
confirm and grow exceptional reliability at every stage. Primary
responsibility is monitoring the battery cyclers testing for the
performance and quality of HV batteries by measuring their response
to charge and discharge cycles. This individual will be responsible
for determining battery cell capability and performance. Work
across teams to transform improved hardware elements into a single,
integrated design. The Test Engineer will thoroughly check
materials, procedures and mechanical or electrical systems to
ensure that customers get high-quality, functional products. They
run tests on various components and features to identify and fix
technical issues. When defects are found lead containment,
analysis, and resolution to prevent defect propagation. Thoroughly

run tests on High Voltage Battery Cells & Module Assemblies and fix
technical issues. Experienced Test Engineers might also be
responsible for training and managing junior team members.
Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to the
following. Roles and Responsibilities: Cell performance, life, and
degradation investigations and testing. Co-ordinate this work with
cell modeling teamCoordinate and/or conduct cell and battery pack
characterization testing; analyze test data and provide engineering
recommendationsAnalyze test data and trends, develop and manage
technical reports and make recommendations based on performance
test data.Generate test reports and reliability modelsWork side by
side with hourly test technicians on understanding test
progressionPerform Reliability analysis and evaluate and improve
the quality of products, processes, and systems.Collaborate with
internal and external stakeholders, including manufacturing,
development, suppliers and customers, to address failure analysis
issues and ensure product quality and safetyDevelop, implement, and
monitor efficacy of corrective and preventive actionsPrepare
updates and reports on the result of the defect analysis, and
communicate to cross functional team including production,
development and purchasingMaintain quality inspection & testing
equipment to ensure reliability of testingAreas of Leadership and

areas of the Plant from hourly represented employees to Senior
Leadership as requiredAbility to build effective cross functional
relationships internally and externallyExperience working with
in-process, end-of-line and burn-in testing for infant

as required Preferred Job Requirements: Bachelor of Science or
Master's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
from an ABET accredited universityExperience in continuous
improvement systems and lean manufacturingShainin Red X / Six Sigma
CertificationExperience with the AIAG Advanced Quality Planning and
Control Plans, FMEA, Production Part Approval Process, MSA, and SPC
(Statistical Process Control)Experience with quality certification
and system such as ISO9001 / IATF16949 is requiredFamiliar with
World Class Manufacturing pillar methodology and
implementationExtensive knowledge in Data Analytics utilizing MS
Excel, MS Access or other database applicationsGood working
knowledge of Google Suite software programsASQ Certification in
