To apply for this position go to jobs.iu.edu/. DepartmentSTUDENT SERVICES (KO-SSER-IUKOA)Job SummaryIndiana University Kokomo seeks qualified candidates for the position of Head Men's Golf Coach. The head coach manages and oversees the operations of the women's golf program. IU Kokomo's athletic program is a member of the River States Conference (RSC) and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). IU Kokomo offers athletic opportunities in 14 sports. Reporting to the Athletic Director, essential duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Recruit, train and coach quality student athletes.
  • Plan and execute the schedule of all contests and practices in compliance with RSC and NAIA regulations.
  • Perform administrative tasks including the operation of the golf programs within budgetary guidelines.
  • Monitor academic progress of student athletes.
  • Develop opportunities to participate in service activities and encourage participation in the NAIA Champions of Character program.
  • Develop and participate in fund-raising activities for the program in conjunction with the Athletic Department.
  • Supervise assistant coach(es), graduate assistants, interns and/or student workers.
  • Work with the Sports Information Director to maintain the golf programs' marketing and web page as well as social media accounts. QualificationsEDUCATIONRequired
    • Bachelor's degree.WORK EXPERIENCERequired
      • 3 years of demonstrated ability to teach the techniques, rules and psychology of golf.LICENSESRequired
        • Possess a valid driver's license with the ability to be insured by Indiana University.SKILLS
          • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
          • Communication skills.
          • Working knowledge of computers including Microsoft Office applications and web applications.Working Conditions / DemandsThis role requires the ability to work weekends and evenings.
