Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Summary We are looking for an
enthusiastic and experienced Flooring Installer to join our
local/family owned company. You will install a variety of flooring
materials based on our client’s specifications, including vinyl,
seam welding, broadloom carpet, carpet modules, vinyl tile and
ceramic tile. Other job duties include demolition and removal of
existing flooring, transporting materials and equipment, cleaning
and preparing the floor surfaces, and applying epoxies and solvents
when necessary. Our company works with large and small commercial
and industrial projects. You must be proficient in using standard
hand and power tools and familiar with various aspects of flooring
installation. We prefer candidates with experience in this type of
work. Also to be able to lead crews along with doing the work and
collaborate with other leaders on the team to keep a positive and
effective workflow. As well as, to effectively communicate with
contractor representation from the contractor or customer. Although
there could be a small amount of over night travel, most of our
work is close enough to not travel over night. Duties 1) Assess
work sites to determine possible issues and make recommendations
accordingly. 2) Prepare surfaces for installation by removing
existing flooring and adhesives. 3) Use hand and power tools to
install flooring materials according to client specifications. 4)
Work alongside other installers while emphasizing safety and
efficient use of time and materials. 5) Inspect finished work to
ensure customer satisfaction and the highest possible standards of
work. Requirements Coachable. Able to work for management and
customers with compliance. Valid Driver's License. Work schedule
can be days, night, weekends and overtime Not much travel. Reliable
and on-time for work duty Physical stamina and the ability to lift
upwards of fifty (50) pounds. Keen attention to detail Ability to
work along or as part of a team Provide your own hand tools. Able
to work Nice To Haves Prior experience as a flooring installer or
completion of a relevant apprenticeship (strongly preferred)
