This role is for programmers who thrive on complex geometries, tight tolerances, and high-stakes work supporting aerospace, defense, and life-saving medical devices. \n This is not routine production programming — this is precision manufacturing where failure is not an option . \n Available Specializations\n \n 5-Axis CNC Mill Programmer \n Multi-Axis CNC Turning Center Programmer \n \n Key Responsibilities\n \n Program complex 5-axis mill and multi-axis turning operations \n Develop and optimize CNC programs for extremely tight tolerances \n Utilize advanced CAM software and G-code programming \n Collaborate with Quality to meet AS9100D & ISO 13485 requirements \n Program complex, non-traditional geometries \n Troubleshoot and refine programs to ensure first-article success \n Support production with continuous improvement and program optimization \n \n Required Qualifications\n \n 5 years of CNC programming experience \n Proven experience with 5-axis mills and/or multi-axis turning centers \n Strong CAM software proficiency and G-code knowledge \n Ability to interpret complex drawings and GD&T \n Experience working in tight-tolerance environments \n \n Preferred\n \n Aerospace or medical device manufacturing experience \n Familiarity with AS9100D and ISO 13485 standards \n \n Ideal Candidate\n You’re a programmer who: \n \n Enjoys solving complex machining challenges \n Takes pride in programs that run right the first time \n Is motivated by precision and accountability \n Wants modern equipment and up-to-date CAM software \n Understands that “close enough” isn’t acceptable \n \n What Olson Custom Designs Offers\n \n Programming work that matters — aerospace, defense & medical \n Modern CNC machines and advanced CAM technology \n Strong metrology and quality support \n Competitive pay aligned with skill level \n 401(k) with 4% match \n Health, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance \n Paid Time Off \n
