Job Description:
Job Description Aid optometrists in managing patient care.
Ensure proper patient flow, perform tasks promptly to ensure
patients are seen by doctors as efficiently as possible. Show
aptitude to learn or demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology,
pre-test equipment, and the application thereof. Schedule patients
for medical referrals as directed by doctors. Perform preliminary
testing, maintain accurate patient electronic health records, and
assure exam rooms are prepared and sanitized for each use. Educate
patients on contact lens insertion, removal and care. Assist
doctors, front desk staff and opticians as needed. This may include
answering phones scheduling appointments, confirming appointments,
opening and closing duties, and other office tasks as needed.
Exhibit interpersonal skills, attention to detail, a professional
image that is both confident and enthusiastic, and an ability to
communicate and work effectively as a team member. Holiday pay and
sick pay offered for full time employees. No medical benefits
offered.
